Auslan for Families "Taster" Auslan Classes at Scienceworks 

This four-week course is aimed at parents of deaf or hard of hearing children who wish to improve their Auslan skills as a family.

Scienceworks is a fun and engaging space full of examples of colour, shape, texture and animals; perfect for teaching Auslan!

In our practical and fun classes you will learn how to communicate visually. You will also learn useful conversational signs, fingerspelling, Auslan structure and the importance of body language, hand movement and facial expression.

The class series will be held on:

  • Saturday 28 July, 2:00pm-4:00pm
  • Saturday 4 August, 2:00pm-4:00pm
  • Saturday 11 August, 2:00pm-4:00pm
  • Saturday 18 August, 2:00pm-4:00pm

If you are unable to come to all 4 sessions please enrol for "Individual sessions" and in Additional Comments indicate which dates you would like to come along. 

We are also hosting a very exiting Auslan Community day Saturday August 25, 11:00am-4:00pm at Scienceworks with fun for all the family! To register for this day, click here.
