What we offer

At Expression Australia we offer our staff:

Flexibility and work-life balance
Full time, part time and casual positions are available, and flexible working arrangements can be negotiated.

Competitive pay, salary packaging and salary increases
We pay above award rates, and generous salary packaging options ensure our salary rates are competitive.

Unique Cultural Diversity
At Expresion Australia, we are bi-lingual and bi-cultural. We embrace our unique set of cultures, communication modes and backgrounds. This may be challenging for some, but is extremely rewarding for most. We provide deaf and cultural awareness training to all staff.

Free Auslan Classes
To ensure effective communication we expect staff to learn the language of the Deaf community by providing free, in-house Auslan classes in a friendly setting.

Staff Well-being
Staff can make use of our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid parental leave, annual Staff Engagement Survey and many other supports.

Training & Development
We provide staff with ongoing learning opportunities, including training, workshops and conferences, annual professional development plans as well as study leave.

Employee Engagement Survey 2018 - Highlights:

Every year, staff at Expression Australia complete an Employee Engagement Survey.  The survey asks a variety of questions and results in an overall ‘Engagement Score’ which relates to employee’s:

  • Commitment to the organisation
  • Job satisfaction
  • Intention to stay

This year, we are proud to say that Expression Australia’s overall Engagement Score is 82%. This result is 1% higher than last year and compared to the Disability Services benchmark, our score is 2% higher than other Disability Service organisations.

Our high engagement score of 82% means that staff really enjoy working here, they feel satisfied in their jobs and feel passionate about our vision and mission. This result is also reflected in comments made by staff when asked to list the organisation’s three greatest strengths:

“Staff and management team are committed to the values and vision of the organisation and to the community”

“Inclusive workplace with equal opportunity for all staff”

“Personable organisation led by a strong CEO and management team. It’s an enjoyable environment to work in”

Through a passionate and committed workforce we will continue to build on our strengths toward a vision that ‘our clients and our community live in an accessibleinclusive society with equal opportunity in all areas of life.’
