#DeafShare Workshops

Vicdeaf will be providing exciting new workshops at Preston Hub in March and April! The workshop series called “Deaf Share” is aimed at Deaf and Hard of Hearing people who reside in the Darebin area. They are also open to people who live outside of this area so everyone is welcome!

***Postponed*** The first workshop has been postponed to April 22.
Sherrie Beaver will lead first workshop on Social Media Safely and Emergencies & Interpreting, happening on 22nd April from 10am to 3:30pm. Social media safely will allow you learn how to use social media including setting up new accounts and how to use it safely (bring all of your devices!). Emergencies and interpreters will cover things you should know what to do during emergencies, like where to find information about evacuation or how to prepare for the emergency. Olivia Beasley will lead 2nd workshop on #Adulting, happening at 14th April from 10:00am to 4:00pm following youth event at Barefoot Bowling from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. #Adulting workshop focuses on Senior High School students, who are planning to finish or already finished school recently, topics will cover things you should know about getting into the young adult world! Click here to register now.

Michael McCready, Paula Thornton and Olivia Beasley will lead 3rd workshop on Employment, happening on 21st April from 10am to 3:30pm. Click here for more information and to register now.

All workshops will be held at Vicdeaf Hub, 426 High St, Preston, lunch will be provided during all workshops. All workshops will be conducted in Auslan. If you are not a fluent Auslan user but would like to attend, please contact us so Interpreters can be booked.
