CEO Christine Mathieson will be leaving Expression Australia

After leading Expression Australia through a significant period of unprecedented reforms and change, Christine Mathieson is sadly leaving the organisation in mid-April 2020. Chris is taking up a new position as CEO of one of Victoria’s largest family violence service providers.

During her time with Expression Australia, Chris has steered the organisation through the introduction of the NDIS, transforming the organisation into a trusted, contemporary and sustainable community business. Chris also led the integration of Victorian and Tasmanian operations creating a strong and stable focus on better outcomes for the Tasmanian Deaf community.

Chris is sad to be leaving and remains passionate about the deaf community and is proud of what we have achieved for our clients, the deaf community, people who are hard of hearing, LGBTIQA+ and others who experience discrimination or disadvantage.

“I have been so fortunate to lead Expression Australia with the help of our dedicated and committed staff. We have so much to be proud of at this wonderful and iconic organisation”, said Chris.

Not only will Chris be missed for her strategic thinking and charismatic leadership, but for her humour and warm and genuine nature that she brought to every interaction.

We wish Chris every success in her new role.
