Where do I start learning Auslan?

Expression offers courses for your basic Auslan courses from Level 1, 2 & 3.

How long does it take?

Each level takes 6 weeks.

Where do I find out dates available?

Expression have it listed on their website.

I’ve completed basic Auslan course where to next?

If you've completed level 1, you move to level 2. Once you've completed that you can move to level 3.

Where are the courses located?

All the course locations are listed on the Expression website.

Is there an online learning option?

Yes, Expression has many online options all of which are listed on the website.

What else do you offer besides basic Auslan?

We offer Deaf Awareness Training both Face to face and online, and also have video-based training.

How long does each session go for?

Face-to-face takes 2 hours per session. Online, 90 minutes per session.

What do I need to enroll?

Go to Expression website and follow the prompts.

I will miss one or two sessions, can I join other class session to catch up?

Unfortunately, no. we cannot have students joining other class sessions. You will receive slides at the start of the course, and we encourage students to review to catch up.

If I miss a class, is that ok?

Yes that’s no problem – students are required to attend four out of six sessions to be able to obtain a certificate.

Is the course recorded so I can watch it later and catch up for a missed session?

Unfortunately, courses are not recorded. You will receive slides at the start of the course, we encourage students to review to catch up.
