Chair: Demetrio Zema
LLB, BA (International Relations)Demetrio has a variety of experience in government, private enterprise and in the not-for-profit sector, and brings his knowledge in governance, leadership, strategy and business management to the Board. Demetrio is the director and founder of Law Squared, a commercial law firm in Melbourne with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, London, and Auckland. Demetrio is a member of the Strategy, Planning and Performance Committee and the Nominations and Remuneration Committee.

Director: Cassandra Hatton
Cassandra is the Chief Operating Officer for St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria; one of Australia’s leading charities. With qualifications in HR and psychology, Cassandra is a professional and passionate leader with an extensive skill set in Strategy, Leadership, Human Resources and cultural and digital transformation. With broad experience across the for-purpose sector, Cassandra is passionate about building excellence in these environments so they can add the most value possible to the community.
Cassandra also serves on the State Council of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and other for purpose organisation committees.

Director: Kathryn Forrest
Kathryn is responsible for the in-house Operations for TelstraSuper. Working as part of the executive team, Kathryn embeds best practice systems and processes that continue to maintain TelstraSuper’s reputation for excellence and industry-leading customer focus.
She has over 30 years of experience in accumulation and defined benefit funds management, leading several large-scale transformation programs throughout her career. Kathryn joined TelstraSuper in January 2016 having been the National Manager for Employer Relationships at UniSuper.

Director: Andrew Crisp
AM APMAndrew is an experienced public sector senior executive. His forty year career with Victoria Police included opportunities to work on national and international projects and working in Papua New Guinea and with the United Nations in Timor Leste. In 2018 at the rank of Deputy Commissioner, Andrew was asked to become Victoria’s Emergency Management Commissioner. Andrew was a trusted leader during five years of intense activity that included significant, bushfires, storms, floods and the response to COVID-19. Andrew has a wide range of skills and experience from strategic planning to community engagement and is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the important role of Expression Australia.

Director: Melisa Sloan
Melisa is the founder of Madison Sloan Lawyers, a published author, speaker and loves helping people to create beautiful legacies. Melisa has practised law for almost two decades predominantly in estate planning and probate with a particular emphasis on sophisticated complex estate planning matters and has featured in a number of publications as an authority on these topics. Drawing on her life experience, Melisa brings her knowledge and expertise in leadership, strategy, financial literacy and business management to the board.

Treasurer: Lynnere Gray
Lynnere has over 25 years’ experience across private sector accounting, the financial services industry and all three levels of Government in Australia. Lynnere is the Director Corporate Services at Golden Plains Shire Council and had held senior roles within the Commonwealth and Victorian Public Services. She brings with her experience from having held positions on a number of Not For Profit Boards. Lynnere is Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and the Investment Committee.

Director: Kelly Townson
Kelly Townson is the Group General Manager of the Crown Resorts Foundation and Community Partnership Programs. She brings cross-industry experience in tourism, hospitality, entertainment, education, and finance, with expertise in strategic marketing, brand development, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement. Kelly serves as a non-executive director with Pride Cup, the WA Gaming Community Trust, and Curtin University Business School Alumni, and is an advisor on the WA Football Marketing and Sponsorship Sub-Committee. Kelly seeks to contribute to, and foster inclusive environments where everyone can participate, contribute, and belong.

Director: Brad Jordon
Brad brings over 30 years of experience in the Banking and Finance sector, including senior executive leadership roles at ANZ Banking Group and Bank Australia. During his tenure at both organisations , he oversaw large operational teams , operational and technology risk, cyber security, and procurement, and at Bank Australia chaired the Crisis Committee during COVID-19, leading the organisation’s pandemic response. In addition to his Banking career, Brad has held key roles with Computershare, a global share registry business, and VincentCare, a community organisation supporting the most disadvantaged individuals. He previously served as a Board member and Deputy Chair for CSV Ltd. Brad is also a Board Member of Freedom Solutions Australia and member of the Risk Committee of Freedom Solutions Australia. Brad brings extensive expertise in governance, operational leadership, and community engagement to Expression Australia."

Director: Matt Brett
Matt is Director of Academic Governance and Standards at Deakin University where he is accountable for defining and upholding academic standards. He has held leadership roles across multiple universities and not-for-profit organisations spanning functions of governance, policy, research, and student services. Matt is a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA) and has life-long connections with the Deaf community. Matt holds a doctorate in education and public policy.
