From yesterday Victoria has 22 new local cases and 1 case acquired overseas in hotel quarantine.
- Victoria has recorded 22 new local COVID-19 cases as the state begins its second week of lockdown.
- The new infections are all linked to known outbreaks, which now stand at 107 active cases.
- As of last night, there were three people in hospital with COVID in Victoria.
- There were a record 59,355 test results received yesterday, and 18,099 doses of vaccine were administered at state-run sites.
More venues were added to Victoria's list of COVID-19 exposure sites
- A called The Status Quo Cafe in Richmond has been added to Victoria's growing list of COVID-19 exposure sites. It has been listed as a tier 2 site, between 8:00am and 3:00pm from July 14-17.
- A *customs broker business in Derrimut has been added as a tier 1 site from July 14-19 after a positive case attended the business over those days.
- Anyone who was at the business during the exposure period must get tested and isolate for 14 days.
- There are now more than 350 exposure sites listed in Victoria.
Tasmania closes borders to South Australia due to COVID-19 outbreak.
- Tasmania has declared the whole of South Australia a high risk (level two) area, meaning only essential travellers will be allowed to enter.
- Tasmania's border is now closed to South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales
- Only essential travellers, including returning Tasmanian residents, can enter
- Travellers who have recently arrived from South Australia and Victoria are also subject to mask orders
- Anyone without a suitable premise to undertake quarantine is required to quarantine in government accommodation, which may attract a fee.
China rejects accusations of cyber-attacks by Australia and its allies.
- On Monday, China was accused of attacks including on Microsoft affecting tens of thousands of computers.
- Microsoft blamed Chinese spies for the Microsoft Exchange attack in January that compromised tens of thousands of computers around the world.
- China says the United States, Australia and allies have made up accusations of cyber attacks
- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said the *"smear" campaign against China was politically motivated and unwarranted.
