Access Coordinator

Role overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused individual to join us as our new Access Coordinator.

You will be a member of our Service Centre team, a core function of Expression Australia. Your team is the first point of contact for all customers accessing Expression Australia’s services. You will be engaging with our customers ensuring that we continue to provide a great customer experience.

Each day will be different as administration and customer support tasks are part of your role. You will be coordinating referrals and service requests, processing payments, providing information and products, and managing our central databases.

This is a full-time, fixed term position, with view to extend, primarily based at Collingwood with occasion support when required to our other offices in Oakleigh and Geelong.

Some of your responsibilities will involve:

  • Service support tasks such as processing payments and claims under Commonwealth Hearing Services Program and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Operational support tasks such as database maintenance and general office functions
  • Referral support by assisting customers with service eligibility and referrals

About you:

  • Strong written and spoken English skills, Auslan skills also highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in Hearing, Medical or Hospital reception desirable
  • Knowledge of the barriers faced by the Deaf and hard of hearing communities
  • Strong administration skills with a positive attitude and the ability to remain calm, friendly and professional in a busy front-desk environment
  • Proficiency with a wide range of technology platforms (desirable)
  • Flexibility to travel when required to support business need
