Auslan Interpreters for TAFE

An Auslan interpreter is signing from the stage at an event.

Currently, there is a shortage of Auslan interpreters for Deaf and hard of hearing students in TAFE. The pool of Auslan interpreters needs to increase to enable DHH students to achieve their study goals.

Expression Australia as part of a Department of Education and Training project, is running a series of seven Professional Development sessions focused on interpreting in TAFE settings, to build knowledge and confidence to work in this sector.
