Expression Australia acknowledges the importance of NAIDOC Week, as it is an opportunity for us to celebrate and recognise the culture, history, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples around the country.

It is also an opportunity for us to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Islanders culture and history, and to celebrate the world's oldest continuous living culture.

This year's theme is:

The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy

It is to mark 50 years of NAIDOC where Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience have been honoured and elevated since 1975.

The theme not only celebrates the achievements of the past, but looks onto the future, empowered by young Indigenous leaders, the vision of their communities, and the legacy of their ancestors.

This year's NAIDOC Week also celebrates a movement that endures, grows, and evolves whilst being driven by the strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and those who will shape the future of their communities.
