The referendum on the Voice to Parliament will be held on Saturday, the 14th of October 2023.

Expression Australia is proud to be collaborating with Evolve Communities, an Indigenous cultural awareness and ally training organisation.

As part of our Voice to Parliament Referendum in Auslan series, we have been given the opportunity to translate their Yarning Circle webinar, "How to talk about the Voice" into Auslan, and to distribute it to the Australian Deaf and hard of hearing community so they can make an informed decision on how to vote in the upcoming Referendum.

Led by Aunty Munya Andrews and Carla Rogers, the webinar is broken into three parts: How we got to the Voice, The Referendum, and controversy and the "Yes" or "No" debate. This information has been translated into Auslan by Joanna Agius OAM. We believe in creating an inclusive environment for all Deaf and hard of hearing people, and by working alongside Joanna, a Deaf Narungga woman, we aim to ensure this information is culturally appropriate for all.
