Role Overview

Working Full-Time, the Receptionist, is a member of the Service Centre, a core function of Expression Australia. The Service Centre is the first point of contact for all clients accessing Expression Australia’s services. This role is critical in engaging with all clients and clients to ensure an efficient client experience which reflects the organisation’s values and vision. Administration tasks and client support are embedded in this role, including coordinating referrals and service requests, processing relevant payments, providing information and products, and managing our central databases.
The Receptionist has a dedicated focus on ensuring efficiency of the clinical audiology service, working within a team of Access Coordinators this role shares responsibility for the effective operations of the service, referrals and administration support.

About You

Essential

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • A positive attitude, combined with the ability to remain calm, friendly and professional in a busy front-desk environment
  • Strong administration and process skills
  • Willingness and ability to follow directions
  • Experience in using, or willingness to use, a client management system to capture client information.

Desirable

  • Conversational Auslan skills
  • Experience in the Hearing Industry or other allied health/medical industry highly desirable
  • Front office and administration skills - contemporary computer and telephony skills
  • Proficiency with a wide range of technology platforms
  • Knowledge of the barriers faced by the Deaf and hard of hearing communities
