Universities and TAFE can book interpreting, notetaking, captioning and transcription services for students who require communication access during tutorials, practical classes, lectures and meetings with support staff.
We provide these services to universities and TAFE at a reduced rate, please contact us for pricing.
Interpreting in education contexts is most successful when there is:
- continuity of the interpreters
- ability to prepare for the classes (ie access to learning portals and materials)
- good communication between the teaching and support staff, student and interpreter

Education with NDIS plans
Individual deaf people with an NDIS plan may be able to use some supports in their plan to help them achieve their learning goals.
TAFE and university are responsible for providing interpreters in class.
An NDIS plan may provide assistance for students in the following ways:
- Physical support to be on campus
- Learning support outside the classroom, including Auslan/English language support
