Video Remote Interpreting

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI), is Auslan interpreting delivered remotely via video communication, such as Skype, Zoom, FaceTime or any other video platform. Can be available as part of your NDIS package.

When is Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) suitable?

VRI works best for small meetings of about 2 to 5 people.

To ensure a successful VRI booking, participants must have good quality audio and video.

As the minimum booking charge for VRI requests is 30 minutes, it can work well for short interactions.

VRI may also be an appropriate alternative when an Auslan interpreter is unavailable to attend onsite. This is especially useful for some rural and remote areas where there are no local interpreters.
